Day 1

Arrive in Kathmandu, clear customs and enjoy a VIP meet and assist before being transferred to your hotel to settle in.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will have the option to spend the day with All Hands and Hearts with overnight accommodation in simple lodging or return to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will spend the day sightseeing in Kathmandu City. In the morning you will tour Kathmandu Durbar Square, home of the 'living goddess' Kumari and famous Swayambhunath shrine, renowned in the West by visits from pre-Everest hikers. In the afternoon you will visit Patan Durbar Square, an ancient city with temples devoted to Hindu gods and goddesses.

Day 4

Today you will transfer to Kathmandu Airport to board your flight to Paro, Bhutan. Bhutan – Land of the Thunder Dragon, also known as Kingdom of Happiness— is one of the most exotic destinations in the world today. This kingdom, often referred to as the last Shangrila, is a land of outstanding people, remarkable scenery and natural wonders, and a proud and vibrant culture. Wedged between the world's giants, India and the Tibetan region of China, Bhutan is today slowly opening up to the world through a sensitive approach to
tourism.
Upon arrival, you will be driven one hour to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan with one traffic light. You will go on an afternoon city tour including the Tashichho Dzong, the fortress of "auspicious doctrine", and Zangtopelri Lhakhang, the handicraft emporium of local designs.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will be driven to the northern end of the valley to start on an exciting hike towards the Cheri Gompa Monastery. It is a pleasant rural hike gently up a valley through paddy fields and woodlands via a Tibetan village. In the late afternoon, you will visit the Colorful Weekend Market where people from all walks of life come to shop.

Day 6

Following breakfast today, you will be driven to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan and the warmest climate. Punakha Valley produces abundant crops and fruits and has beautiful views of the distant Himalayas. En route, you will pass the Dochu La (Pass) and holy water spring and site of the Druk Wanggyel chortens and the botanical garden where guests can take short hikes. Upon arrival, you will have an optional trek to the Chimi Lhakhang Temple.

Day 7

After breakfast today you will have the opportunity to explore the area around Punakha. Visit the Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang temple complex, which overlooks the valleys of Punakha and Wangdue Phodrang. Later, discover Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, which was built to remove negative forces and promote peace, stability and harmony in the changing world. In the afternoon, you will visit the famous Punakha Fortress, the Punakha Dzong which was built in 1637.

Day 8

After breakfast, you will be driven back to Paro, the final stop. Paro Valley borders Tibet to the North and this picturesque region is one of the widest valleys in the kingdom. It is the capital of Bhutan. Today you visit the town of Paro, including the National Museum of Bhutan.

Day 9

Today, you will climb to the most famous monastery in Bhutan, The Tiger's Nest, a sacred Taktshang monastery which clings to the rock face 900 meters above the valley floor. It is a 3+ hour hike to the summit or a shorter walk to the viewing point where horses are available to take you the rest of the way.

The Everest Base Camp Trek starts at the Lukla airport and follows the Dudh Kosi valley which climbs up to the Sherpa capital of Namche. From Namche, you will trek along a high traversing path where you have the first good views of Everest and then head towards Tengboche Monastery and continue on to the Mt. Everest Base Camp. On the way back, you will have views of the Khumbu Icefall. The accommodation will be mostly in simple tea houses (lodges) and you will climb to a maximum altitude of 5357 meters.

The Annapurna Trek starts at Pokhara airport and includes hiking along the ridgeline in the lower foothills of the Annapurnas. Savor the surrounding views of the Pokhara Valley from your guesthouses or local lodge (not temperature controlled) before hiking to the next deluxe lodge in Ghandruk. Continue on through the sub-tropical forests to discover sweeping vistas of the entire Annapurna Range, while visiting local villages en-route. The accommodation will be in more luxurious lodges, including hot showers, comfortable beds and hot foods. Each room will have an en-suite bathroom with hot running water and warm bedding, hot water bottles, and down jackets will be provided. You trek for 4-5 hours each day with your English-speaking guide and porters to carry everything for you.

Upon arrival, you will meet with your wellness doctor to design a stay for the next few days.
